Kids Min Team
What We Do
VRL’s River of Life Kids is an inviting, fun and safe environment where kids Preschool through 6th grade are learning God’s Word, meeting new friends, enjoying bible centered games and activities, and praising the Lord through song service and altar time every week. KidMin volunteers each do their part in helping our kids understand that loving and worshipping the Lord is part of every aspect of life and it can be fun too!

We are SO excited you are interested in serving in Kid’s Ministry! There are many areas to serve in KidMin - from volunteering our classrooms to serving behind the scenes, helping out at events to prepping classroom supplies and snacks, performing skits to leading the children in worship, leading wacky Bible games to praying over the children. We would love the opportunity to get to know you and how the Lord has uniquely gifted you so we can find the perfect place in the ministry for you to serve. Worship Team
Playing on stage
On our team, we use in-ear monitors (Headphones)
Many of us have talk-back mics (for in ears) to help us communicate privately. We use a click-track to help us stay on time. Additionally, there is a phone app that allows you to balance your headphones mix so you can hear yourself and the team. We usually play our personal instruments. If you don't have what you need, we can help with that to an extent.

Working together
On our worship team, we value practice and excellence while still following what God wants to do in our room. Our team members have a collaborative process for learning new songs built around mutual creativity and making them "our own" versions.
During practice, we thrive on collaboration and growth-oriented feedback. We encourage each other and lift each other up while simultaneously helping one another improve. We want each member to feel equipped with everything they need to lead people into worship.
We are excited about adding many members to the team. We want to create a safe creative environment for a growing community of worshipers.

Coffee Team
Easier than you think
Helping out on the team is simple. Annie is our supervisor. She handles most of the work, and she just needs a bit of assistance. We have a simple menu with a few coffee options, so there's not much to learn. You’ll be there to lend a hand, have fun, and connect with others. It's a great way to serve our church community in a relaxed and supportive environment, with out any pressure to be an expert!

We're a relaxed group serving coffee to our church community, focusing on having fun together and providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
You don't need to be a coffee expert. All you need is a friendly attitude and willingness to help out. It's more about spending time together, having fun, and making sure people feel at home. If you like spending time with a great team and helping out, you're more than qualified! It's all about being part of a friendly group and making Sunday mornings a little brighter for everyone

Current Technology
Sound
We are using an SL32 Digital Soundboard with Flying faders. It has been optimized to be extremely simple for any volunteer.
Lights
We have automatic lighting color changes. If someone were passionate about running the lights manually that would be great! someone creative and responsive to the flow of the spirit.
Live Stream
Soon, we will upgrade our live stream and would love for someone to run it. this would look like starting/watching the stream and reading live comments in case of any unknown technical difficulties.

Prayer Team
What we do
We meet every Sunday morning to gather in prayer and prepare hearts for worship. At the end of each service, we come forward to the altar to offer prayer for anyone in need. This is a great opportunity to support our church community for those seeking guidance, healing, or encouragement. There is also a Prayer Group for those who wish to dive deeper into prayer and spiritual growth.
